"Soul PWR gave me everything I wanted and never knew I needed! Talk about empowerment and affirmation! Soul PWR fed my mind, body and most definitely my Soul! I Am is one of my favorite poems. A natural pick me up! Everyday, especially the bad days I turn to I Am and I read it aloud for reassurance and manifestation purposes. I feel a million times better EVERY TIME! I also love Dr. King! Being married to a black man I feel it’s important to speak life into them and reaffirm them. Dr. King is all that and more! I remember reading it to my husband and him smiling from ear to ear. Thank you Kamaria for blessing us with your words when we can’t find our own and when we need help changing our negative thoughts into positive words. "Soul PWR was an amazing book, very encouraging and empowering for both men and women. I often found myself smiling as I was reading through the poems. 'Moon Child' inspired me in many ways, the title itself resonated with me. My favorite line in 'Moon Child' was: "Her grind? Unmatched."
"Reading “Soul PWR: A Poetry Anthology” by Kamaria Delaney was an experience I can never forget. I read her book from two different readers lens. I read the book as a woman and a Poet. As a women I felt empowered, encouraged, and inspired. I can relate to many of the poems. It felt good to know that Kamaria and I share similar experiences. The book is layered with many gems on how to heal, love yourself, and take care of yourself as a woman. Nothing but positive energy radiates from EVERY Poem. Some of my favorites were Soul Ties & Deep Vibes, Soul Flower, Butterfly Dreams, Dear Queen, Dear King, Release It To The Wind, and Begging for Change. As a Poet the imagery, analogies, word play, and amazing title of each poem had me in poetic awe. Kamari’s poetic skills had me wanting to sharpen my pen and get to writing new poems. The book truly inspired me and grew in me a deep desire to be connected to Kamaria. I admire her book, her pen, and her whole Poetic vibe. I told myself I have to get to know her.
