This is for all the Kings who must always remember their worth and who they are. In the face of adversity, keep your head up.
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, I wrote this poem in the month of May to shed light on my own story. I hope it inspires you to speak up and know that you are not alone.

When I step up in front of many to share my HeART with the world, I feel the most free.
Never put your crown down, Queen. I wrote this one for all my queens, always love yourself and shine! No matter what the world says, you are worthy.

My mother named me Kamaria, which means “like the moon” in Swahili. I’ve always been inspired by the moon and its phases. This piece was my way of “self-reflecting” on parts of my journey.
